How to use
- Choose what to remove. By default everything goes except what the photo needs to display correctly.
- Click “Choose files” or drop your photos onto the box. You can add many at once.
- Each file is cleaned on your device as soon as it is added, keeping its name and format. Download them one by one, or all together as a ZIP file.
Frequently asked questions
What information does a photo carry?
Most photos carry EXIF: the date and time, the camera or phone model, settings such as the exposure, and often the GPS location where the photo was taken. Some apps add XMP or IPTC with the same details, a title or the author's name.
Does removing EXIF lower the quality?
No. Only the information blocks are removed and the image data is copied unchanged, so the photo looks exactly the same and keeps its colour profile.
Why is the orientation kept?
Phones store some photos sideways with a note saying how to turn them. Without that note the photo would appear rotated, so it is kept. It says nothing about you.
Which files can I clean?
JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC. Each file keeps its format, so a HEIC photo from an iPhone stays HEIC.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser, so your files never leave your device. The page only downloads the tool's own code when you add the first file.
