How to use
- Check the settings above the box. The pixel size is always kept.
- Click “Choose files” or drop your HEIC files onto the box. You can add many at once.
- Each file is converted to JPG on your device as soon as it is added. Download them one by one, or all together as a ZIP file.
Frequently asked questions
Will the JPG look worse than the HEIC?
The JPG keeps the photo's full size in pixels and its colour profile, so colours stay the same. At the default “High” quality the difference is hard to see. JPG files are usually larger than the HEIC originals, because HEIC compresses better.
How many files can I convert?
There is no limit on the number of files. Files are converted one at a time, so a large batch simply takes longer. Very large images, such as 48-megapixel photos, may fail on phones with little memory; a computer handles them.
Is the location removed from my photos?
By default, yes: the GPS location is removed, and the date, time and camera details are kept. Before adding files you can choose to keep everything or to remove all photo information.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser, so your files never leave your device. The page only downloads the tool's own code when you add the first file.
