- Each file is automatically converted to PNG on your device as soon as it is added. Download them one by one, or all together as a ZIP file.
Frequently asked questions
Should I convert WebP to PNG or to JPG?
Choose PNG for logos, icons, screenshots and images with a transparent background: PNG keeps every pixel and the transparency exactly as the WebP shows them. For photos, JPG gives a much smaller file.
Why is the PNG file larger than the WebP?
WebP compresses images more efficiently than PNG; even a lossless WebP is usually smaller than the same image saved as PNG. The PNG keeps exactly what the WebP shows, so it is often several times larger.
How many files can I convert at once?
The site sets no limit on the number of files, but how many you can convert depends on your device's memory and speed. Files are processed one at a time and stay in your device's memory until you download them. Large batches or very large images may fail, especially on phones. If that happens, convert them in smaller groups.
Is the image file information kept?
No. Converting to PNG converts only the image: information such as the date, camera equipment and location is not carried over to the new file.
Are my files uploaded to an outside server?
No. Everything runs in your browser, so your files never leave your device. The page only downloads the tool's own code when you add the first file.
