How to use
- Check the settings above the box. The pixel size is always kept.
- Click “Choose files” or drop your AVIF files onto the box. You can add many at once.
- Each file is converted to JPG on your device as soon as it is added. Download them one by one, or all together as a ZIP file.
Frequently asked questions
Why can't I open an AVIF file?
AVIF is a newer format. Browsers show it, but some photo editors, office apps and older devices cannot open it yet. JPG opens everywhere.
What happens to transparent areas?
JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas become white. To keep them, convert to PNG instead.
How many files can I convert?
There is no limit on the number of files. Files are converted one at a time, so a large batch simply takes longer. Very large images, such as 48-megapixel photos, may fail on phones with little memory; a computer handles them.
Is the photo information kept?
No. Converting to JPG copies the picture but not the photo information: the date, camera and location are not written into the new file.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser, so your files never leave your device. The page only downloads the tool's own code when you add the first file.
